The most common function of a dispatcher will be creating a new customer record and a new job for the customer.
Jobs are the replacement for the pieces of paper that service companies traditionally use to track a unit of work. Field Harmony treats each "truck roll" as a new job.
The Quick Add Job feature allows you to create a job in just a few seconds. From the first screen you see after logging into Field Harmony (aka the "home screen" or "jobs board") you will notice the Add Job button in the top left-hand corner:
Click the button and the new job form will appear:
Please note - the Job Type is required. If you do not select a job type, Field Harmony will save the customer's information, but no job will be created on submit. You can always create a job for the customer later from the customer -> edit page (or just search for the customer's first or last name and click on the result!)
