In version 2016.5, we released a recurring jobs feature.
Moving forward, all jobs will be either "not recurring" or "recurring". If you would like to schedule one-off jobs, simply continue creating jobs as you have always done, "not recurring" is the system default.
To create a recurring job, first choose "Select schedule..." from the recurring drop-down on the customer new or edit page:

A new dialog will pop-up that gives you the option of creating a recurring job either Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly:

Click the days you want the job to occur:

If you choose monthly, click the days of the month you'd like the job to occur:

Fill out the rest of the job information as you normally would:

Save the job, and after a short delay, you'll see the recurring jobs on the jobs board:

And you will find the jobs added to the scheduler:

A few notes:
- Recurring jobs are not created instantaneously. It can take up to 1 minute before the job will appear, particularly during times of heavy system load.
- You can modify recurring jobs, but only FUTURE occurrences of the job will be updated if you choose to "modify all" - jobs which have already taken place in the past will not be affected.
- Recurring jobs are best for companies that provide the same service each trip. Good examples are pest control, pool cleaning, maid service, lawn care, and other service-based companies.
- Each job record is unique, will have it's own notes, it's own payments, it's own products, etc.
- When recurring jobs are created, their status is set to "On Deck" by default - a dispatcher or manager must dispatch the jobs to the workers in the field or the job will not appear on the field worker's schedule.
